To the Suffolk Theater Community:
We have received much feedback and very passionate arguments on all sides of the vaccination discussions – and we recognize that there are no shortage of valid and important considerations on all sides of this issue.
The circumstances surrounding the COVID virus continue to evolve. With the recent announcements that Broadway, as well as AEG (the world's second largest presenter of live music and entertainment events), peer theaters and festivals on Long Island and others are requiring proof of vaccination or a recent COVID test to enter their concerts and events – for the safety of our patrons and very importantly, our employees and artists, we are going to require the same.
All patrons and staff entering The Suffolk Theater will be required to show their vaccination cards, the excelsior pass, a photo of vaccination card next to your photo ID, or a recent negative COVID test (within 72 hours) to enter the building. Free rapid COVID Test Sites can be found at CVS.com, Walgreens.com, riteaid.com or you can check your local pro-health or other urgent care facilities. At home COVID tests are acceptable but they need to be taken at the Suffolk Theater in front of theater staff. Patrons under 16 will be required to wear a mask while in the theater but will not be required to show proof of vaccination.
All patrons are welcome and encouraged to wear a mask while not dining or drinking and moving about the theater.
We appreciate your understanding as we try to make the best decisions for the safety of our patrons, our staff, and our artists. Our policy is subject to change as circumstances surrounding the COVID pandemic and related variants evolve.
Stay safe, stay healthy - and we hope to see you at the show!
